It was a goal that could not have gone any worse for the Udinese defence.

Graziano Pellè scored the equaliser as Udinese stunned Sassuoli 4-1 at the San Siro Stadium on Saturday.

With the hosts up by two goals, the hosts were able to counter quickly and force a last-gasp equaliser.

Pelle opened the scoring, smashing home a header after his header from a corner was deflected by goalkeeper Giuseppe Martone.

He then headed home the rebound of the rebound from a Sergio Garcia corner to level.

Sassuolo, who had been in control at the break, took the lead in the 77th minute after a pass from Felipe Moralez, who got past Udinese’s goalkeeper to find Pelle, who fired home from just inside the area.

The visitors’ goal ended a two-match winning run and their 10-match unbeaten run.

Udinese will now face Sassuol in the Europa League in the second leg on Monday (local time).
